| i need advice- eye problem Romeo and i just came home from the South Jersey yorkie meet. He's exhausted. I noticed him itching his eye. It looks watery and he's squinting. I'm really nervous.

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | sorry i missed the play date was Romeo playing alot (or doing what he did the last time *snort*)? maybe another dog got him in the eye? can you open the eye? do you see a scratch or anything in it? if you have saline you can flush the eye to see if maybe he just got alittle something in it. if its still a problem in the morning, i'd take him to teh vet. he might have a scratch on his cornea.

| i'm so upset. i missed 3 days of work this week because romeo needs his meds every 2 hours. he played and humped a stuffed animal. normal stuff for him at playdates. i'm clueless to when he got chemicals in his eye. the vet said it could have been on someones hands or shoes. i hope the other yorkies are okay.

| Was anyone using spray or something to cleanup pee and poo? Were there any cleaning supplies in the area that he could have gotten into? We have one doggie daycare we go to in our area for meetups and they have cleaning supplies over in one corner. Normally it's up off the floor, but when there are a dozen or more people there cleaning up after their dogs it can happen that stuff doesn't get put back up where it belongs. Or when they are trying to clean up, the dogs sniff around quite often. That's all I can think of, aside from what your vet suggested. |
