| Help...Could this be ringworm? I noticed a red ring about the size of a dime above Bella's shoulder last night. The center is normal and there is no hair loss at the site. It's not scabby or bothering her. I do notice a small red dot in the center with maybe a small bump to it, but that is it. I'm pretty sure it is not a tick, there's nothing in there to come out. It's a perfect red ring in diameter with a pin hole dot in the center. Any guesses??? |

| She may have been bitten or stung, I think if it were ringworm the hair would be gone and it would be scaley. |

| I agree with Jeanie...It would be scaly, although if you caught it in the early stages, it would be a round red circle. Watch it and if it develops scale, you can treat it with over the counter clotrimazole cream. I took Pippa to the vet a few years ago with one and they charged me $12. for a tube of clotrimazole that I could have gotten at any pharmacy for $3.00!

| You guys are probably right, I just checked and the red ring has basically disappeared and there is a tiny pin hole red dot in the center...no scales or hair loss. I did put vaseline on it last night to draw anything out so it hopefully came out. She did spend a lot of time out in the yard Saturday so it was probably a bee or spider bite. |
