Not sure I didn't call her but she musta knew we needed her.:) I am sure Kaya will be fine till morning. just keep an eye on her and relax she'll feel your stress.

That was really weird. I wasn't gonna post tonight cause we just got home. Then I thot, well I'll just see what's on the portal page and then go to bed. There was your post on the front page!

Omega I didn't have a chance to post before on this thread but I wish Kaya gets better and don't really know what to tell you about her condition but I hope tomorrow when you take her to the vet everything is ok.

We made it through the night. :) This morning I was so scared to look over at Kaya - wasn't sure if she would be ok or not. She still has the rash so we will be keeping our vet appointment for this morning. She snarfed the little bit of I/D that I gave her and she drank water, so that part is good - if she keeps it down, that is.

I'll post when I get back from the vet.:animal-pa

Oh I just saw this. I sure hope it is just a rash and the problem can be fixed asap! I just hate when our babies are not feeling well :(

I am so sorry about Kaya.....it is so hard when they are sick!

Well, the vet thinks it may be an allergic reaction to something in her food or environment. :eek: He gave her a steroid injection and told me start her on Benadryl 2-3 times a day.

Can anyone help me with the conversion????? :confused: I'm supposed to give her 10 mg but the syringe he gave me measures in ml and I don't know how much to give her and the vet is closed now. Do you think he made a mistake in writing the mg and it was supposed to be ml????? HELP!

I am sure you can do a search to find out how much to give her due to her weight- search on google- all the best to your baby getting well

It should convert to 1mL.

:thumbs up I was looking online at all the conversion sites and couldn't figure it out.... :embarasse Sure am glad you don't have to be a math major to own Yorkies.:D You just need to belong to YT!!!:) Thank you all again - what in the world would I do without you???? :nerd:

Thanks everyone - gee I get more warm fuzzies here than I do at home! :rolleyes:

The steroid injection is working. :yay_jump: I would say that about 80% of the redness all over her body is gone. She seems a bit more alert - not ready to play yet but better than she was last night. She has kept her food and meds down and in all day.:D

She is at my feet right now looking up at me reminding me to say a great big THANK YOU to all her buds here at YT!!!:)

Now, I guess to just figure out what caused it. I got some different food for her to try when she starts her regular diet again. The Solid Gold lamb one. We'll start there and move on. It could be anything!

All you who have pups who have allergies, how did you figure out what they were allergic to?:confused:

Ya know, I knew I loved my little furbabies but didn't realize just HOW much till now. I have had lots of animals in my time but didn't bond with any of them (except one that I had to have put down:( ) the way I have with my Yorkies. I sure do love 'em!!!
