She was throwing up and not eating or accepting any Nutri-Cal, and for a while, acting very lethargic Then after we took her back to the vet the 2nd time, she was up sniffing around, pacing back and forth...almost like she just couldn't get herself settled or something, it was weird And then, she was shaking SO BAD...like a leaf! So I put a heating pad on her little bed in between two of her fleece blankets and she really liked that The next day though, she was fine - and still is, thank the Lord!

It really IS very, very scary when they are this tiny. I know I would be worried SICK if Stedman was throwing up and acting the way Tatum was...but when they are so teeny like baby Tatum is, I think it just makes you worry even MORE.. Thank you so much for your kind words though She is back to her spoiled little self, lol Big hugs and kisses to you, Nessa, Spanky & Rocky!

| I am so glad Tatum is doing much better,. I remember when I picked up Tia and I think the Vet was a bit too liberal with the shots, and she slept for 14 hours. Being only 14 ounces ( at 13 weeks) I really worried about dehydration and sryinged water into her every hour. I know how scary this is to a Mommy! I am glad that she is feeling better!!!

![]() But oh man, only 14 ounces at 13 weeks - I would have been a NERVOUS WRECK too if I were you! Poor baby - and darn the vet for giving her too many shots at once I can only IMAGINE how scary that must have been for you!

| Yes, Sparky has that kind of reaction to his shots. Last time I ended up taking him to Emergency Vets and they gave him the fluid in between his shoulders, and a couple shots to stop the vomiting. He had another appointment this morning at 9:00 and the vet wanted to keep him so they could watch and catch it as soon as it starts. I just called and they said he's doing great, and hasn't gotten sick. The vet he saw today from the group is the vet that originally started the practice and we've been taking our dogs to his practice for about 20 years. He is the greatest, and always takes his time with you and answers all your questions. I asked him about Sparky's ears (they aren't standing up) and he said Sparky is a little bigger than the average Yorkie at his age (he's 18 weeks and weighs 5 lbs 2 ounces.) He said his ears may be too heavy to stand up, but he's going to get the groomer to shave them in the V shape for me if she has time. Just remember him in your prayers. And your little fellow will be alright. It's like alot of people told me when I first started going through this with mine....they're all like babies and individual and will react differently. I know you're nervous, and my prayers go out to you and your furbaby. |

What wonderful news! And I agree with what your vet said about his ears. It sounds like you have a big boy, and his ears probably won't stand, alot of times they don't with the bigger Yorkies - but you never know. Shaving them is a wonderful idea though But whether his ears lay or stand, I know he'll be just precious no matter what! Tatum is doing fine now and she is back to her normal self. Yes, I was very, very worried (her size adds to the worry) but thank God it only lasted for the day and the next day she was up and adam again ![]() I will keep your baby in my prayers and thank you for all your kinds words!
