BEE STING - question on benadryll Yesterday, my poor little Banksy got stung by a bee. My boyfriend talked to the vet who told him to give Banksy a 1/2 children's dose of benadryll. He seems a little lethargic today..we only gave him one dose yesterday. Should we give him benadryll for a few days??

My kodi Was stung las fall by 3 or 4 bees at the same time. I called the vet and they said just to watch him he shook for about 2 hours (scared) but then he was ok. The vet said to watch for reactions but I was lucky. I would hold off on the meds and and Maybe let the vet know how he is. they may want to see him. Good luck. I hope he is okay.

Tis the season When Buddy was stung on the eye lid vet said to put ice on it until the swelling went down. Of course check and make sure stinger is out. If there were no other reactions he would be fine. Is the stinger out?

| Yeah, if he doesn't seem itchy, then I wouldn't give him more.

I'm sure your Vet. has perscribed the proper dosage and how often to use, but you should talk to him/her for any other questions about this.

thanks :-) well...Banks is big - a little over 7 pounds. He's been itchy and I gave him a little benadryl last night again. He's eating, seems ok, he just kinda chews at his The vet said that his body would work out the stinger, but I think it's harder. He freaked with it on his leg - I can't imagine what it would do to his eye - we lucked out. Anyway, he's back to being his playful, fun self....now I just hope that he'll do ok on our plane flight on friday...flying is great, but annoying. thanks for the help!!!

well...Banks is big (for a yorkie) a little over 7 pounds and growing...he's only 5.5 months. He's been itchy and I gave him a little benadryl last night again. He's eating, seems ok, he just kinda licks / chews at his leg. The vet said that his body would work out the stinger, but I think it's out. We looked for it and the areia is red/irritated.
