| Glad you got her to vomit. That's all they would have done at the emergency vet, and charged you out the ying yang for it too I hate that they are so greedy! Keep your baby hydrated and maybe give her some plain rice for dinner.

| Who would have ever thought we'd be posting to say good for your baby vomiting?! Be prepared that she may have some diarrhea still tonight. Hopefully she threw most of the chocolate up. Poor baby. Give her hugs and kisses from us and let us know in the morning how she is doing.

| Hi, I just wanted to let you know that I've always heard it's mostly the dark chocolate that is really toxic to dogs. I'm sure that enough milk chocolate would hurt, but it would probably take a lot. Of course depending on how big your baby is it would make a difference. Before we knew chocolate was bad for dogs my aunt used to feed her rat terrier Hersey's kisses and he is fine. I hope this gives you a little peace of mind. Whitney |

Phantom Queen Morrigan Donating Member | here is the toxicity per lb of dog milk chocolate toxicity = 1 oz eaten/pound body weight. semi-sweet chocolate toxicity = 1 oz eaten/3-6 pounds body weight. baker's chocolate toxicity = 1 oz eaten/10 pounds body weight cocoa beans toxicity = one ounce eaten/10-33 lbs body weight

| Thanks everyone. Minni is great. She got up this morning and ate and pooped just fine. She's back to her normal self. Thanks for the chocolate/toxicity chart. She weighs 6 pounds, but I know she didn't eat 6oz. of chocolate. She did eat quite a bit though, and I didn't know if caramel was dangerous either. Better safe than sorry I guess. |

| Oh GOOD!!!! You probably saved her from having a heck of a tummy ache too All that sugar and fat could have made her really sick, so it's good you got her to "give it back"

| Oh, I am so glad she is doing better. Good to know the toxicity and how to induce vomiting as well. Yorkies are sometimes too resourceful for their own good. They find a way to get into things they are not supposed to.
