I went down to Mom's to see if I could see any mouse poison in her basement. Just a quick check and I didn't see anything, but there are so many boxes and things sitting around, it would be hard to check it all. I just got a call back from the vets office and the vet wants to do a blood clotting test on Maddie, but she wasn't sure when. If her blood isn't clotting well, then he would put her on Vitamin K. He said it's very expensive and doesn't want to put her on it if she doesn't need it. I wouldn't care how expensive it was. I'm waiting for a call back...the lady that called me wasn't sure when he wanted this test done.

Maddie just got up and drank water...like crazy. SHe just kept drinking and drinking. Hope that's a good sign and not a sign of something bad!

well.. hopefully it's a good thing.. water thins the blood.. so if she's having blood clots.. it is a good thing.

OMG! I just came across the post! Poor Maddie!

I'm glad you took her to the vet and got her checked out ASAP though. Me and Kobe will pray for her speedy recovery! And the water, I would think it to be a good sign...as long as she's drinking she's not dehydrated. I would be worried if she wasent drinking any water at all. Keep us posted!

Connie, I feel so bad for little Maddie, and for you. Your sure don't need anymore turmoil in your life and I'm sure Maddie is as depressed as she can be. Since she doesn't understand what's going on, it's just that much worse for her. I'll be praying for quick recovery. Don't forget to take care of yourself whle you are taking care of Maddie. We are sending good thoughts Maddie's way. Poor baby! Please keep us posted? At PetsMart, you can buy Get Serious Stain Extractor. It comes in a white bottle with green and pink writing on it. It will remove any bodily fluid from carpet and any other fabric. Nuke it in the microwave for extra power. It even works on set in stains.
