| Symptoms OHG - Mia just had about a tablespoon of loose stool. I went over to clean it up and it had a clear mucos blob in it. Also - 2 drops of what looks like blood. (not bright red - brownish red). I tried to look up Giardia, Cocca***, Parvo, HGE etc. WTH - they all have similar symptoms! I'm calling her Vet now. Please say a prayer that it's a fluke and not any of the above.

| Take a sample to the vet so they can check under the microscope. Might be a bug or stress related. Good Luck.

| Sadie had bout of bloody diarrhea last month and vet diagnosed her with enteritis (after checking a stool specimen and examining her). So don't worry too much - chances are it won't be anything serious.

I totally agree . . .I use to rush both my furbabies everytime I see a tint of blood and my VET did explain it is from irritation. Of course, if prolonged diahrrea happens, by all means rush her to the vet. Kisses to Mia . . . am sure she just ate something. | |

| Oh No Connie! I am so sorry that Mia is feeling a bit under the weather. As the others have already said it could just be an irratated bowel. Never the less I know what a good mom you are and that you are probably getting her looked at this very instant. We have had these same issues from time to time and so far each occurance has turned out to be nothing. We will however keep you in our thoughts and pray that Mia feels better soon... Hugs to Mia!

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My 3 have all had bouts of vomiting and diahrrea all on different days the past 7 days. I decided after rushing one to the vet and paying 280.00 2 days before her VPI insurance went into effect to take a wait and see attitude. All 3 seem better. But all 3 had poop like you described, mucos blops and blood.I think it was food related so I have been giving then all a little hamburger with their dog food, I hope Mia gets back to normal soon.

| Whew! Thank You Ladies! Just got back from the vet, and you all were right, we gave her some "roasted" chicken a few days ago. (dumb dumb dumb) She was acting fine, running and playing etc. but it just scared me with how fast I see other little ones go down. They did 2 fecal tests so she's good to go with a weeks worth of medicine. Once again, Thank You!!!
