| Help...vomitting Poop??!!?? Roxie just came in from using the bathroom and she smelled like she had rolled in poop, so I smelled her and realized it was coming from her mouth. I gave her a bath, and while I was at it I bathed reghan too. While I was drying Reghan, Roxie vomitted. It smelled just like poop, and was brown. About 2 minutes later, I noticed Reghan was vomitting. It also smelled like poop and was brown. OMG...what is wrong with my girls??? Can someone help me please!!! I am calling the animal ER now!!!Both of them are acting fine, no diarrhea, or anything. HELP, PLEASE!!!!

| Sounds like you have a little poop eater there. You might need to go out with them and watch that they don't eat it once they go, or eat anything old in the yard.

| I have posted about my boy Alfie today too. He was vomiting this morning (about 5 times) and my partner said it smelled just like poop. He said it was brown and sticky and smelled like poop.... my boy has diarrea (spelling?) too.... maybe they have the same problems so look forward to seeing what people say. He's never eaten poop before but he did have an accident in his crate this morning. Last edited by LC598; 02-18-2007 at 08:14 AM. |

| I thought that too, but the problem is that Reghan doesn't go outside. She is too young!!

| I would at least call an emergency vet clinic and ask about this. Could be nothing, but could be serious. Get well wishes and prayers headed out to all the furbabies that don't feel well today

| Reghan could still be eating poop. Does it seem like Reghan is pooping less than ususal? If not, then Reghan should be checked by a vet to rule out an intestinal obstruction. Gracie somehow ate goose poop at the park and vomited it up. It was so gross.

| Hmmmm, I would probably call the vet. Do you have a cat (and if so, did they get into the litter box?)

| NO cats in the house! I called the ER and they said they didn't know of anything, besides an obstruction. They also said that it is $70 per dog, plus the cost of any treatment! They are both resting now, no more vomitting. I am boiling chicken breast cause they are both acting hungry. Should I give them some Nemex (just in case it is worms), they were dewormed at the vet about 10 days ago. I guess we will keep an eye on them, and take them into the vet in the morning. Please help guys, I am sooo scared! I love my girls and I can't take them being sick! There are no more animal ER's around here (I live in a small town) so I don't know who else to ask. You guys are all I got!!Thanks and keep us in your prayers-Tara Oh, I forgot to mention that they are pooping just fine. No more, no less, and no diarrhea.

| Oh...I didn't see that both were vomiting...but, if they both ate something that didn't pass it could be possible...have they gotten into anything they shouldn't have like plastic or foam filling or anyhthing. It is either they are vomiting up poop that they just ate or they are vomiting poop that is coming from thier own backed up intestines. I hope they ate some poop... |

| Thanks I dont see how they could have gotten into anything, but I guess I wouldn't know. They got out last night and went into my sons room (which is a mess). No telling what they got from in there! I guess I will see if they vommit again, Roxie just ate so if she does it again I will know it's probably an obstruction. Sigh, I just don't like them being this way!!!

| I am happy to report that we have poop!!! Reghan has done #2 and it looks fine. I NEVER thought that poop (especially on my front room floor) would make me this happy! So, I guess it is safe to assume that there is no obstruction! Keep your fingers crossed that they stay well!
