| Thank you all for your support and suggestions. We had a really bad night. I called the Vet and he told me to get some infant Tylenol drops. Her dose was about two drops. I finally figured out that it wasn't the spay that was cousing her so much distress. It was from having her dewclaws removed. When she finally settled down some, she would still yelp in her sleep and shake her little leg. This morning, she ate her normal amount and asked for more! Yippeee. Seems like she is much better now. Having a hard time walking on the linoleum with those bandages on her back legs and feet, but other than that she is fine. A bit slowed down but that is to be expected. Thank you again for your concern and well wishes. Sammi |

| Glad she is getting back to her old self. I bet the dew claw removal is painful...Breeders should do that when they dock tails I know a lot of them do, but for those who dont it saves added on this added pain later. Sassy & Sammi deserve a treat for being brave Quote:

| I think she is doing really well now. The biggest problem, I think, wasn't from the spay...but having dewclaws removed from her rear legs. That was what was causing all the pain. They said I could remove the bandages in 3 to 5 days and when we hit the 3rd day, I took them off. She is being pretty good. Licking a lot but not chewing. She listens when I tell her to stop but I have discovered that she will go elsewhere so that I cannot see her when she does it. Smart little cookie. Stitches out next week and it is all over!! Hooorah!!!!! Thank you all for your caring responses. |

| I am so glad to hear that little Sassy is feeling better. I have heard that dewclaw removal on an adult is quite painful.... but it sounds like she is just about over the ordeal! Sending hugs to you both: |
