Donating YT 2000 Club Member | ![]() I watched the Video & my Jaxon doesn't look or sound like that. He has the reverse sneezing, which is the stretched out can't get air stance-usually happens when I first get home & he gets overly excited. Thanks so much for the video-it makes me see wht CT looks like & relieves my mind about Jax.

| ![]() My baby has both a minor liver shunt (not even clinically treatable thank god) and a slightly collapsed trachea. The only time I notice the honking sound is when he gets over excited when we go outside. I followed advice to keep him from barking as much as possible and keep the leash short when walking so he calms down. I have been fortunate thus far. If you pup is honking or coughing more often I am sure this wasnt much help at all. However I do hope your baby is feeling better! |

| ![]() OK.. Gizmo does this too but he does it more when he gets excited... also if I put my two fingers in front of his nose he will stop doing it? Is it reverse sneezing then or collapsed trachea? And if it is collapsed trachea what can be done to help him, I am assuming there is not a cure out there ? |

| ![]() My. FeBe is 13 weeks and does the same thing. She kind of hacks after she has gotten a drink of water or gets excited. I am not worried because my other Yorkie did the same thing her whole life. It becomes something you get used to, but I know the feeling. |

| ![]() Debby, yeah I agree. My yorkies and all of the small dogs did the honking after drinking water too fast. Right now Im dealing with a different coughing with my Ginger.

| ![]() I just took my 12 wk old to the vet for his cough and he also has problems with his trachea..Its not collapsed but it is irritated..The vet put him on antibitiotics and now we are just waiting..I hear it the most in the morning when he just wakes up and after a run..How has your baby been recovering? I hope they will both be fine!! |

I would like to watch it if it helps to know if it is reverse sneezing or collapsed trachea. My Sassy does it quite a bit...mostly when she is over excited. She also snores. | |
