| ![]() I haven't registered with UKC yet. I'm going to call them Tuesday and get a temp. Do you know if there's onsight entrys at New Kent? I'll probably come down next Sunday just to check it out and of course, to meet you. Sorry this ended up on the wrong thread! That's what happens when you try to multitask and drink margaritas! I'm so sorry about your little guy. I know as a good Mom you'll do what's best for him. Go after that pet store, they shouldn't do this to people!

Getting a new puppy should be a fun time not a time for crying.... ![]() Sending you hugs and prayers for your little guy. | |

| ![]() Oh I wish I had advice for you, for sure take your vet bills to PetLand and make them pay for it!! I am praying for you and your furbaby, I am so sorry you having to deal with this instead of playing with a healthy baby! Pray and do what you think is best,

| ![]() Thanks to everyone for replies. Obviously I did not know about petstore reputations if I did I would never consider buying a puppy there. But right now I am in a crisis, I know that I will be suing the petstore or those breeders I will get a lawyer so that this never occurs ever again. I left my baby at the hospital for 24hr nonstop care, I am hoping a miracle will occur this year has been horrible not long before I got the little guy I had to put my 10yr old german shepherd to sleep because she had breast cancer. My God why is this happening to me, I would give anything to see my baby well. Are these diseases treatable? Should I get a second opinion? I dont know what to do the vet seemed to think the best choice would be to put him to sleep but I just couldnt. Then they brought him and I kissed him so much I didnt want to let him go but I just had to. I am praying and thank you for everyone's prayers, if there are miracles there has to be one for this. I will be calling after midnight to see how he is doing. |

| ![]() I feel so bad for you. My dog was sick last week, he was lifeless and went blind, but he is getting himself back, thank god. I have a friend who breeds dogs and about 7 years ago one of my yorkies had problems constantly throwing up. She told me to stop getting the shots every year they are not necessary after 2 years old. I stopped and from that day on he never had the problem. We are overdosing our animals on these shots that they do not need. I had a dog growing up who lived to be 15 and never went to the vet. I do hope your baby gets better and my heart goes out to you. |

| ![]() I was so afraid of this when I responded to your other posts about your little one this morning. Yorkies are 36 x's more prone to Liver Shunts than any other breed but at this time Dr. Tobias still does not know what causes it. Maybe you should read these medical journals so you can understand what is happening with your little one. http://www.livershunt.com/ The sad thing is your little one probably just does not have the strength at such a young age to survive what is happening to his small body. The Yorkies they can usually save are much older then 9/10 weeks. You will have to make a very difficult decision on what is the kindest thing you can do for your little one. We just had a member of our Biewer club just go through this exact same thing on an 9 week old puppy and she finally had to let her go after fighting for her life for 2 weeks. She just kept losing more ground. It was all very sad. Now here is the hard piece of advice I must give you if you are going to sue Petland. You will need to pull out your contract and see if a necropsy (autopsy) is required. Unfortunately, you will not be able to stop/sue the breeders as modern medicine still does not know why this is happening. Even excellent breeders can have this pop up for no reason except somewhere in the lineage (even as far back as 7 generations) some inbreeding happened. My heart breaks for you and I wish I was there to put my arms around you as you make this difficult decision.

| ![]() Once again thank you very much for everyones prayers. Special thank you to Patti for giving me a quick call you dont know how glad I am that there are people out there like every one of you that care so much. Thank You for all prayers and I am praying everything will turn out fine. God Bless Also I received a message that someone did have a similar case like me and that the vet made a mistake the puppy was dehidrated and did not have a kidney failure. I am so hoping that this is the case, I want to see him again and hold him in my arms. Thank You everyone |

| ![]() Hello. Chuey and I are so sorry for what you are going through. If you read my post, how can I help him breath better, you will see that I too am taking care of a sick puppy. Hopefully, my Chuey is going to be ok, but his is not as ill as your poor baby. I am so sorry. But from my experience, it has been very hard to see my baby like this. He is only 4 months old and tiny tiny, so I can somewhat understand. It is so hard to see them sick. It is also a lot of work. As somebody else stated here, we cannot tell you what to do. We wouldn't dream of that. However, we can be here to support you and listen. Please consider what his life will be like if you pursue treatment. It was my first question to the vet with Chuey. Best of luck to you and please let us know if there is anything we can do. You are in our prayers.
