| My prayers go out to you as I know what you went through, I cannot sleep because my lil one is in the hospital and everytime I think the phone will ring with bad news. They told me its failing kidneys but I dont believe it, it looks like dehydration and I am hoping thats that. I had to pay 850 for a deposit to leave him there and the costs will be more, but how could I not he as well means the world to me. Good Luck, and God Bless |

| Our Blessings R Many Donating Member | Mizzchellie that is wonderful news that boo is doing fine now. Prayers that she keep doing real well and that you will be blessed with many many wonderful years. Kami, I am also praying for your little one, looks like you are keeping awake most of the night. I pray that you get good word when you talk with them and that all is going to be fine. I will watch closely for an update on him. I sure do hope you can get some sleep. It really is sad that the ER facilities have the policy pay up front large amount before they will meet the needs of the dog. We have also found most vets are quite expensive, shouldn't be that way but they are. In our area it is the same thing a $500.00 deposit had to be paid before they will see ones dog at the Emergency Center, doesn't matter with the local one here, money comes first papers filled out, pay the money before they will touch your dog I wouldn't be surprised if that fee is more now cause that was their policy years back when we had to take our Dobie in to ER.Patti and Jack and Baby Blessing Last edited by Baby Blessing; 01-01-2007 at 01:52 AM. |

| Boo seems to be doing well. she is jumping around and playing now. i give her nutri cal and karo syrup here and there everyday now and leave food out 24/7. she was having diarhea but not anymore after her meds. i have another problem with her now. it seem as though she has a cold after coming back from the hospital. i dont know if that mucus sound is coming from her throat or nostrils but it happens frequently. she seems to be active though. and i just remembering the nurse telling me to take her back in if i notice any snifflings cause she might have a cold. how weird... before i brought her in emergency she didn't have that. did they notice she caught the cold at their hospital? dont know but i hope she is okay!.any advice anyone??? kami i hope your lil baby does better. he is in my prayers. dont give up hope. i believe positive thinking can change things. i will keep everyone updates on boo. |

Because I had one have an episode in the past, and I don't want it to happen again. OR not be prepared. It was very scary. I picked the baby up, put it under my coat, and a straight to the vet, and when I got in, I told them I needed a room and a vet...now! You know what I mean! Those are our baby's. Nutr-cal is always in the fridge now. Take care...justus

| she is everything i wanted in a dog. that incident taught me a life lesson to appreciate life more and how fragile life is. how someone can be okay this minute and be sick the next...
I know how you feel. This summer my Tippy was in the yard with my brother and they were playing football (the football is twice her size becasue TIPPY is a miniature). Unfortunately the football hit her and she fell on her side and layed their crying for 3 seconds. It was labor day so i couldnt get her to the vet....anyways....long story short...shes fine today and happy as usual...except for when we have candy or something sweet she goes crazy about it and attacks whoever is trying to get the candy LOL |
