| weird rash...pregnant yorkie ok guys this is freaking me out some...my girl Lexie is supposed to me 5 weeks pregnant and has suddenly developed a rash in her "area" in the last few hours. i have no idea what has caused this and i have no idea what to do. she is slightly swollen and uncomfortable. i know i will need to take her to the vet tomorrow if i cannot find a way to treat her from home but i just thought perhaps someone on here might have had this happen before. she has big red spots and some crusty areas too. it was not at all this way yesterday. i don't know if she has been licking herself or something because she has been staying swollen some. the vet said she looked normal but i know this part can't be normal...or at least it cannot feel normal for her. it looks horrible. :-( i just don't know what to do. I have never raised puppies so i am new to all of this. i am excited but i want to do it all correctly. i know she had her tummy shaved but the woman didn't shave her there so i don't know any reason for anything except maybe the shampoo to have irritated...i just don't know. i just hate having her all irritated all night...any suggestions? and her nipples are starting to do the same thing too...with the splotching rash looking redness...is this at all normal? ~Tru

| I don't have any answers or advice, but wanted to wish her well and I hope you can find some answers. You haven't used any different cleaning supplies on your floors, carpets or furniture, have you? I tried doing a search and couldn't come up with anything on pregnant dogs with rashes...just rashes. I'll say a prayer...Maddie sends kisses!

| May want to put this post in the breeding section. Probably get a lot more replies from folks who are experienced with this. Sorry, I don't breed, so I haven't a clue. |
