How is lil Huck feeling today? I have been Praying for him. I have been kicked by a horse my self. It scared me alot!

You know - that has been one of hardest things, because I keep seeing it happen over and over in my head. I literally cringe and shiver everytime I relive it in my mind's eye. I don't think I will ever forget the horror of it. I know that probably sounds overly dramatic, but it's just very traumatic to see someone you love (even if he isn't human, Huck is still someone I love very much - I know most, if not all, of you understand what I mean) so quickly and violently injured and suffering. I'm the type of person that will scoop a bug into a paper cup and deliver it safely outside rather than kill it, so seeing this all happen to Huck right before my eyes was not something I will too soon forget!

He is doing UNBELIEVABLY great! I've already posted a full update thread about how he did today. My goodness, maybe we should've named him Rocky instead, because that little guy is tough as nails - no kidding!!!!

rebound is great but wouldnt suggest to use it as a constant diet..You might want to pulverize his normal dry dog food mixing it with warm water until its soupy for his daily diet.

Thanks for the tips! After I run out of the prescription food they gave me, the vet said to feed him baby food or wet dog food mixed with water and run through the blender. I'll probably go the blended wet dog food route, so I know he's getting all his nutrients, since he is still a puppy (10 mths).
