I Love Thor Donating Member | I'm so sorry to hear this devastating news. I hope that they can remove all of the tumor, and that it has not spread. I hope you will keep us updated on your little girl, and you will be in my thoughts as you prepare for her big surgery tomorrow! |

| We don't hear on YT often (that I've noticed) about anyone's Yorkie getting cancer. I'm so sorry that you and your family are going through this. I have heard the statistics regarding spaying reducing the cancer risk. I'm so sorry you have to find that out the hard way. It's possible someone here is hearing this fact for the first time and will head your advise. Thanks for sharing and best of luck with your baby! My prayers are being sent your way!

| I've read that can happen, but only came here in August. Had never seen anyone post about it happening to their pup. Another reason to make me go ahead and have my baby spayed soon. She's only 5 months now, and I'll probably do this next month, as soon as she hits 6 months I'm so scared of the anethesia myself. But I'd certainly be devistaed later for her to get cancer because of my fear. Lesson learned for me, thank you. But I hate that happened to your baby. Please, Please give us an update as soon as you can. My heart and prayers go out to you. And I just lit a candle for your baby, and you. |

| for your Gigi and you. Please let us know how her surgery went. If you need any info on radiation and chemo treatments for dogs, please PM me. My Westie had a mast cell tumor on her muzzle and we spent a lot of time at Cornell with treatments.

| I just joined this group under the same circumstances. My Tabby is a 6 yr old ,6 lb yorkie and I also never got her spayed like I did my male yorkie. I found four lumps on her today ( 2 at the upper part of her breast and 2 at her lower breast)and I am taking her to the vet tomorrow about this. I am very scared for her. I hope by me not doing something, as getting her spayed, that I have not cause this painful disease on her. Has anyone else found out any information about outcomes for yorkies and breast cancer? |

| My Lilly Mae is a rescue that came to me 2 yrs ago. When we got her , her whole tummy from her pelvic to her armpits were covered in tumors. She only needed 1 mastectomy in the same breast as your babies lump is and the rest of the tumors were removed individually she was spayed and had most of her teeth pulled, surgery took about 3 hrs. She was 10 yrs old at that time and she recovered quickly & has been doing very good since. I pray your baby will deal as good as mine did and she will be good as new in no time. You may have said & I missed it but I hope she will be spayed at the time of her mastectomy. Sending good thoughts your way |
