| I have used Benadryl in the past for skin allergies, don't see why it wouldn't help with sinus problems. However, if the mucous has a color to it, you need to see your vet. As with children, that means infection. |

| If he is feeling fine, eating well and doesn't have a cough, or fever (normal anal temp is 101 to 102.5) I think you could just watch him for a few days. It may be more of an allergy than a cold. If the symptoms get any worse or he develops a cough or fever or stops eating then he may need antibiotics so a vet appointment is necesssary. |

| Mine had that a couple of weeks ago. We actually made a trip to the vet because I was so worried. Vet sent me home with nothing. Just asked me to keep him in the house and keep him warm and dab tissue on his nose once a while and put some petroleum jelly on his nose. He said it will take 2-4 weeks.

He is 100% okay now I was worried and called the vet a few times after the visit but he is right!!! And all the while I was thinking he doesn't know what he was saying He sounds scary so I was really worried but my vet says if I take good care of him, keep him warm and don't bring him out, he probably won't get a 2nd degree infection such as pneumonia and he will be okay but do go to the vet FIRST. You never know what it is but a vet will.My vet did not recommend me giving him anything. He says it is better not to give them medication unless it is really neccessary and give it some time.
