| DO NOT feed CEASER'S duck dog food recently i found ceaser's duck dog food (soft) and i thought it would be nice and something different for my doggies to have. ( i regularly feed them nutro but on friday it's "eat out" day and i feed them ceaser's) well, the day after chestnut has pooped 5x and all the poop are soft and mushy. Lulu poops her regular 2x a day but it's still soft. so no duck! i hope it wasn't on one of the top 10 what not to feed the dogs, if it was i am so to blame. please help me with any info. thanks!

| My dog's hypoallergenic food is made with duck. Maybe it was just something they weren't used to? When I changed Layla's food from Eukenuba to her hypoallergenic food, she also had soft stools for a week or two while she got used to the new kind, and she's been normal ever since!

Ceasars isn't an ideal dog food by any means - I've heard it's the equivalent to feeding a child a cheeseburger everyday... There are lots of other good, nutritional soft foods out there that you can mix in with their kibble.

Donating YT 30K Club Member | My pom only eats cesars beef in the red can and have had no problems in almost 10 years of her on it. I know it's not ideal but she won't eat anything else unless it's people food which for her tummy is worse.

| My two out of four dogs can't tolerate Caesar's food but have sensitive stomachs. I know alot of people can switch their dog's food and give treats without a problem. I can't give two of mine any treats or it's hard when I have to switch foods, takes a long time to change them over. A breeder told me that she has issues with some of her dogs and changing foods and uses Sucralfate to help them in the process. My vet didn't agree with this. My other two are Yorkies and are on dog food but different brands. If it works, I don't change foods. Jessica |

| I could not agree more! Ceaser's is the ONLY kind of soft food that I feed my yorkie. I have given her several different kinds and flavors but I saw the "duck" flavor recently and decided to give it a try. Like you, I thought it would just be something different for my baby. I give my yorkie her soft food in halves. I will put half of the small box in her dry food one day and give her the other half in the next couple of days. The first day that I gave her the duck flavor, I was up with a vomiting yorkie that night. I wasn't convinced that the duck flavor was causing this problem because she is small and has a very particular digestive system so I thought it could be a number of things. I decided to try the duck flavor again almost a week later. I gave her the rest of the duck soft food on a Sunday evening and by Monday she was having the SAME kind of diarrhea and poop problems that your babies were having! I truly believe now that the Ceaser's duck soft food is the reason for this. |
