Donating YT 11K Club Member | What could this be?!?? Teddy was in my lap and I was petting him when I noticed a little lump on his right side, near his leg. I checked the other side and he doesn't have it, only on the right side. It doesn't hurt him when I touch it either. He's 4 mos old, what could it be? I am going to take him to the vet so they can check it out but do you guys have any ideas? |

| Has he had shots recently? Some shots, like rabies, will cause a lump to form at the site of injection, but it slowly goes away on it's own. Another idea is he could have gotten a bug bite. You've looked at it to make sure it's not a tic, right? Good luck! I'll be watching for updates!

| It definately could be a reaction to a shot. Has he had shots recently? Hootie used to get a lump after everytime she got a shot. Just watch it and if it gets bigger or doesn't go away, then you'll definately need to see a vet as it could be some type of infection. My sister's yorkie got a Staph infection from a needle when she got shots one time. She had to get the site drained and then be put on antibiotics. But, if it gets smaller and goes away after about a week, then you're good to go. |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | yes! That's exactly what I was thinking....I was like hmm what could it be and he did have his rabies shot on Saturday and I just noticed the bump yesterday which I hadn't noticed before so it must be new. I think it is a reaction to the rabies shot. Thank you guys. I will still ask my vet but I'm sure it is now that I think about it. |

Donating YT 11K Club Member | Ok I don't think it's a reaction to shots cause now he has 3 bumps, I'm so confused. However one of them has gotten smaller and they don't hurt him at all! The vet appt. is on Thurs so I have to wait.....ayayay I hope it is nothing |

| Coco had the same thing when I took her to get her rabies shot over the summer. She had this bump on her right shoulder and I called the vet and they said it was from the shot that it may take a few days to a couple of weeks to go away.

| 3 bumps don't seem like the reaction to a shot. Let us know what the vet said, please.
