| Tinka getting spayed Well, Tinka is finally getting spayed. She is 10 months old and has been through one heat cycle. I had an appointment for her and then had to go in the hospital and when I got out, she was in heat, so we had to wait awhile. I hope everything goes well. I hated leaving her there. It sure is quiet around her with only one Yorkie! (and two other dogs and birds and cats...) It's much calmer and easier! BUT - I can't wait to see my baby again this afternoon. I'm getting three days worth of pain medication for her and something to put around the incision to keep her from licking it. She also getting microchipped and having all the bloodwork done. I'll just be glad when it's over and she is back in my arms!!! omega |

| Sorry, I missed this thread. I hope all is going well and Tinka is back home in no time at all. Baby onesies work to keep them from licking their stitches. I, too, would ask for pain killers. I really can't believe some vets send them home without any. Do you have to leave her overnight or will she be coming home this evening? |

| Thank you for posting - I appreciate it. Things have been pretty hectic around here and I haven't been on much myself. Tinka is doing great. All her blood work is normal and she woke up pretty quickly after surgery. All went well, her incision is healing pretty fast. When she curls up to lay down, she lets out a tiny sigh/whine but that's about it. She ate and went potty with no problems at all. I'm just glad it's over with. She is microchipped now too, so there is a little added protection... Thanks, omega |

| Glad she is doing well! My Lily goes in to be spayed next Thursday, she's 8 months old. I'm feeling a bit nervous about it.
