| what is it ? my yorkie has been losing hair on her back for about the last month. it seems to be itchy. what could this be ? |

| It could just be allergies but have your vet do a skin scrape and check for mites also. My Chachi lost all the hair on his back and the vet thought it was allergies. He put him on meds and he got worse not better and he did a skin scrape and he had mites. If it is mites they are very hard to get rid of. Chachi had to be dipped in this real strong solution 6 times. We stopped the dips after the 5 th time because they were making him sick. Anyway but the mites were gone.

| It could be a hormone imbalance of some kind, but if it is itchy it is probably mange (mites). |

| itchy skin Hi Honey, I know this problem and my 3 yorkies get it all the time. I use a special solution that I spray on the skin and leave it on and after about 3 applications the itch goes. This product is only available via a vet as far as I know,but lasts ages and is called...virbec, epi-soothe, this is the shampoo but you can also get a spray too. Worth a go as I know it works.
