| ![]() i am sorry i don't have the answer as to why he is throwing up. The dog food you have him on is not very good unless he just will not eat anything else. does he eat any dry food at all/ is there a chance the breeder would take him back for two or three more weeks to get him well. he is far too young to leave his mother and known surroundings. This breeder should have not sold you that puppy at this age. i hope he will be alright. |

| ![]() I would try boiled plain chicken and white rice for a day or so. Then I would change his dog food to something that has less fillers in it like Solid Gold Wee bits, California Natural, Verus, Candidae. If you have a small pet store anywhere near (not Petco or Petsmart) go there and I am sure they will have those. If not I would google the food and order online. It's well worth it for the health of your furbaby ![]()

| ![]() Are you feeding him the same food the breeder was feeding him? If you canged his food that could be upsetting his stomach. 7 weeks is very young to be away fom is mother. Are you aware of the danger of hypoglycemia at that age, and do you know the signs and how to treat it? Please watch him very closely, they can die over night from it. I would be putting Karo syrup in his water for the next 3 to 4 weeks, just in case. |

| ![]() Also buy Nutrical to avoid a seizure if his sugar gets low from not eating. If you can't get that get karo syrup and give him some of that.

| ![]() I didnt know that 7 weeks is too young to get a puppy-I thought that was the age you received puppies. He was eating food on his own a week prior to when I got him and the mother was not getting in with the puppies anymore. He is now very active and eating good. I continued him on the food that the breeder had him on. The vet thinks he may have had a virus. I am taking him back for a checkup tomorrow. He hasnt thrown up any since that one episode. I am also putting karo syrup in his water. My brother has a yorkie and I am a nurse and been doing research on yorkies well before I got him just unsure of what may been going on. Thanks to everyone. Will keep posted. ![]() |

My furkids Donating Member | ![]() I agree with the boiled chicken (breast) and rice..just until his little tummy can get settled..Personally I would put him on a better food. Try to stay away from foods with by-products in them...these are very bad. I feed Lillie (13 wks old) nutro puppy dry. you may want to research puppy foods and put him on something that is better for him. Good Luck

| ![]() I think you've been given very good advice here. Just keep a very close eye on him and make sure he eats enough. Maybe it was just due to stress at being in a different environment. Hope he is doing better. ![]() |

| ![]() I don't know if your vet checked for Giardia, but that could be the culprit. My pomeranian did that for about a month off an on and finally one of my vets tested him for that and he had it. He took some prescription meds and got better. Just a thought.
