| I'm pretty new here. I'm very worried about poptart I got her about two weeks ago and she was doing fine but now she isn't acting like herself. I dont know if she is going to be in heat soon or what. She just wants to lay around and she just doesn't look like her healthy self. What should I do? She doesn't even really want to move and she just wants to be warm. She even popped in her cage she had never done that before. Please help any suggestions? |

| I think, for your own peace of mind you need to call the vet. You didn't say how old she is.....

| I remember that you sort of rescued her. Has she been checked at all by a vet? How big is she? Is she eating & drinking? I really think if she has not been checked by a vet then you need to have her completely checked over. Where in WA are you? There may be a WA YT member close to you that may be able to come and check her since this is a holiday weekend. I know that my vet is in his office 2 x a day on the weekends. My gut tells me have her checked by a vet.

| Poptart-had been eating and drinking just fine untill now. She doesn't really want to drink or eat. She is 8 months and weighs 8lbs. I haven't taken her to the vet yet. I wish I would have now. I was waiting intil I got VPI. But I can't wait anymore I have to take her now. |

| I don't think what your describing is related to coming into heat. I think a vet check is in order - symptoms of hypothyroid include lethargy and being cold. |
