Thank you, everyone, for all your good wishes; they helped so much! Daisy is being sillier than ever, and it's such a joy that she can see.

What would we do without our funny Yorkies??

It's been a couple of months now, Daisy has healed, and it was a complete success. I am relieved and very happy to see her silly, smiling face as she looks at everything!

I just saw your post today and read it with great interest. A yorkie I had as a kid also was diabetic with cataracts, but I never recall surgery being mentioned as an option then. He did go blind but coped pretty well in his later years.

Your story gives me great hope that if it ever happened to one of my dogs again, at least I know that the surgery works! Thanks for sharing your story. And hugs to Daisy.
