What a fiesty little fighter you have! That is such great news. So glad Gizmo is in the clear, too. I think the only repayment any of us want is to see a picture of Madda and Gizmo together the day she comes home to her family. We'll keep praying she is able to come home soon. PS - Your vet and his staff are terrific.

You sure deserved some good news and I'm so relieved for Gizmo....and way to go Madda ! You can do it sweetie !! it sounds like you may have survived the worst part and we cant get pessimistic now on you darling....You WILL GET BETTER !!

Cindy - you DO have people across the world praying and we'll get that baby better in no time ! You just take care of YOU and she'll be home before you know it. Keeping prayers for Madda going and sending hugs your way.

I just came by this, Oh my goodness I really don't know what to say, I'm so sad your little girl is going thru this & my heart goes out for you I'm glad she is doing better and thank the lord that her brother is o.k my prayer's are with you and your family.

thank you everyone.. I am planning on calling them at the vets around 3 or 4 pm to see if there is any new info... they said they might try to give her liquids and if she can keep them down they will take off the IV if not she goes back on... so keep your fingers crossed that her stomach can hold those liquids so we can be one step closer! Keep you posted it's 1:05pm Central so 2-3 hours to go til I call again!

Thank God she made it through the night. I will pray for her. I am so relieved that Gizmo doesn't have it. A girl that used to be a member here had it happen at her house. All of her pets had their parvo shots. The vet said there are sooooo many ways to bring it into your own home unknowingly. He figures someone brought it in on the bottom of their shoes. She had to clean and disinfect her ENTIRE home...including washing the bottoms of all of the shoes that had been worn recently. Please do this....it will be a very tedious job and if you have any friends that are willing to help you out it would be wonderful. Looking forward to an encouraging update.

P.S. The vet also told her that the parvo shot doesn't prevent getting parvo; but instead is like a flu shot....you can still get it, but it shouldn't be as severe as if you didn't get the shot.
