Really worried about Maddie

Honey, one thing I wanted to say to you was anytime you make an appointment at your vet but then your pup worsens, call them AGAIN and tell them you need an emergency appointment TODAY!!! All docs keeps some time aside for this, and don't you feel bad about making them use it!!

I sure hope Maddie is feeling better. Her symptoms did not sound good, and I sure was afraid for you, my friend! Keep us in touch.

I hope Maddie is feeling better. Please keep us posted. TJ is doing ok, but I too have noticed him acting strange this past month. He just lays down anywhere - all the time. He just seems more tired or not as active as he has been in the past. He was also having uncontrollable runny noise, gagging thing for 3 days in a row. He is much better with that now, so I am thinking maybe it was allergies or a little cold. He still is extremely non-active in the mornings and it has been very difficult to get him to eat his wet food in the AM. I don't know what his problem is, maybe he is just getting older ???
No gurgling noises in his tummy and no mucus poop. Thank God for that. I still have him on the Tylan powder which I give to him every 5th day now and he can pretty much eat anything! I just watch him daily. I just don't know why he has become so lazy like. I hope that he is just getting out of the puppy playness all the time or maybe the weather being so hot for him. Sometimes, I fear he was bit by a tick and has lime disease. Maybe I should have blood work done just to be sure.
Anyway, please keep us posted!

Good morning one and all! Things are definitely looking better! Maddie is wanting to play and she looks better too! She has that twinkle back in her eyes and is still laying around a lot, but she doesn't look totally miserable as she did last evening. I'm going to watch her today and if she seems to get worse again, I'll go for a work in appointment. If she seems okay, I'll just wait for that Friday appointment. I have a cold and sore throat and maybe she caught it from me? Maybe that honking noise she makes is a cough? I don't think she got into anything that would be toxic, but who knows for sure on that one. I'm just so thankful for her being better and thank you all for your prayers and concerns! I truly think that's what got her better! I'll keep you updated on how she does!

Poor Maddie! She is so sweet. The first thing I could think of is frogs and toads. Cricket and Bubba hunt them in our back yard. If they lick them or pick them up with their mouths, the frogs will put out a poison. The first time this happened. They foamed at the mouth and drooled and rubbed their faces all over the floor. They vomited and were sick acting. I took them to the vet and he asked if we had frogs in our yard. Yes we do and our yorkies hunt them down. LOL They don't put them in their mouth anymore, but just paw them. If I ever see one, I pick it up and throw it over the fence!!

Maddie is doing really well and almost back to the norm! I am so happy! I am keeping her appointment with the vet tomorrow, so I'll have her checked over and see what he thinks.

Michele...it's so good to see you back! How are you doing? We don't have any frogs or toads in our back yard...not that I know of and I think with the drought conidtions we've been having, there probably aren't any. But, you never know! Sure sounds a lot like what was going on with Maddie!
