Kali Had to stay at the vets Yesterday afternoon Kali started having loose stool. Then she started vomiting. She had been completely normal all morning. We took her to the emergency vet because of the fear of dehydration. They checked her out took x-rays. Could not find out what was wrong. They thought it must be some sort of viral or bacterial infection. They put fluid under her skin and gave her a shot and some antibiotic and sent us home. Hubby and I were up all night with her. She continued to vomit. She finally stopped vomitting at and was able to keep pedialyte down and I was rubbing Super cal on the roof of her mouth. She did urinate 2x this am. She went to our regular vet early and she kept her. She wants to run an IV thru her. I feel so bad for my little girl. She said they may or may not keep her overnight depending on how she comes along today. Please keep her in your prayers.

I just talked to the vet and Kali appears to be responding to her treatment. She is going to let us bring Kali home for the night with a catheter in. We will have to give her some meds thru this tonight. I will take her back tomorrow and if she is much better they will remove it. If not they will keep her during the day again. She still has to stay a few more hours yet today. I am going to be doing a lot of spoiling and giving lots of lovins tonight. I sure hope we are on the uphill of this episode.

My thoughts are with you. We had the same thing with our little Baxter. He is doing much better now. Gained 3 ounces last week! Turned out it was Coccidia. Pat

I happy to report that Kali is 100% again. When I heard her crying for me at 3 a.m. I knew she was feeling better. She is running, playing, & terrorizing her brother again. Thanks for all the prayers.
