| Limping Hi All!! I am very worried!! I noticed last night that Zoe was sort of limping and lifting his left hind leg as if it bothered him however he's still running around and jumping just sitting alot more and limping on and off. My vet is not in today and I called 2 emergency vets and they want to charge me an arm and a leg for the visit + xray. I know nothing is broken because he is not crying or whining but I am sick to my stomach right now. I can't take another day off work to bring him to the vet either but I should bring him in tomorrow morning right?

| Does he hold up his leg in the air when he's sitting up? If he's still running around and isn't whining, it's probably not broken so hopefully xrays won't be absolutely necessary, but they might want to take xrays just in case there's a fracture or something. A yorkie's bone structure is so delicate that they can get fractures from just jumping around the wrong way. I would probably take him in tomorrow morning if you can afford to take the time off from work... is there anyone that can take him in for you - say a relative or close friend? Keep up posted on what you decide to do and if he's okay - good luck! Sending you lots of hugs and smooches from Frodo

Donating YT 30K Club Member | Porr baby! I would see if you can make the vet appointment for as late in the day as you can or first thing to minimize time off from work. I know when I was working I would sometimes take my dog to the er vet so I could go after work or weekends and not take time off from work. But if she is still limping i would take him in. Good luck, I hope he just strained it a little.

| Have you checked the paw? Any cuts? First time I watched Guinness, he started limping, and that got me really really worried. It turned out that he had a little cut on his paw. I got bag balm and it worked so well on his paw..

| Thanks for your concern! I ended up finding a vet that was open. He has luxating Patella (a severe case). I will be seeing my original vet and a orthopedist for second and thrid opinions and then schedule the surgery. I'm pretty sure he needs it.
