| weird discharge from penis i noticed my new baby had this weird discharge that looked like a yellow cream on his pipi... i told the vet, he said "he is becoming a teenager and he may have a mild infection but i wouldnt worry" he gave me some medicine so i can wash him with it for 5 days, i did it this morning already but once more i saw the yellow creamy discharge... it doesnt smell. have any of you seen this on your dogs? i trust the vet but i still worry |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | lol... Sounds indeed like puberty is setting in and your boy is having him some wet puppy dreams. I used to see that when I had my old pit bull and it was nothing. Never needed any meds for it. So I am not sure why the vet felt that he needed meds.

| Most likely it's what they call bilanoposthitis which is completly normal and harmless to male dogs.

| Males do get that way...they think just like the human ones LOL. Just keep him clean (but don't irritate the area). It is probably just the natural discharge that they get. However, if you feel uncomfortable about it, you could have the vet take a look at him (sounded as if the vet did actually see him). |

| Buckeye had that. the vet said it was a yeast infection. he gave me a medicine with a long nozel to push up in the penis. it cleared up for a while but kept commin back. so i did just as YorkieRose has suggested to you. He has not had a problem since. Just keep it clean. hope he is better soon.
