| I haven't laughed so hard in a while thank you. I know it wasn't meant to be funny but, you will laugh later you probably are already. I'm so glad that it was nothing serious.

| I also have a gross story. Last summer we were going to VA with Precious our Shih Tzu we had to have put to sleep. She was 14 years old at the time. Anyway, she was in the back seat of my car with Ethan and all of a sudden there was this horendous odor , than Ethan started yelling mom Precious pooped and it wasn't just poop it was diahrreah. My husband was gagging and Ethan was cracking up and mocking his daddy. We weren't on the interstate we were on back roads and we had to ride a few miles before we came to a store I had to go in and get baby wipes to clean her up and the car seat, Ethan's backpack. I thought I was going to get sick cleaning her and the car up. Ethan mentions it every now and then and just laughs until he cries.

| Hey, we have lots of experience with diarrhea, I hope I'm not too late to help. Loki had a sensitive tummy for his entire first year, until I switched him to Canidae (I still say it's the pro-biotics) but the vet insists he just "grew out of it" Anyway we did Giardia once too. On the Giardia - I know you said you have no idea how she could have gotten it, but that doesn't mean she can't have it. We don't have a fenced in yard so Loki is never outside unattended (and yep, he's outside trained... it's complicated but we love him!) Anyway, it supposedly comes from stagnant water or from another dog's poop. However, Loki was not near any water nor was he ever off leash to lick another dogs poop. The vet said it could even be as stupid is some dog pooping on the sidewalk/grass, and the owner picking it up (most of it) and Loki walking through it and then licking his paw later. I'm now paranoid and constantly clean his paws. And we never had it transmitted to us - I would assume that unless you touch their poop and then don't wash your hands you're fine. My POINT to all of this is that 1. if it is giardia it will be slimy - egg-whiteish. 2. if it is giardia it may go away for a few days/weeks and come back 3. if it is giardia then you need to take a fecal smear to the vet to be sure. Loki had diarrhea so often they let me just bring in a sample and run the test for $20 or whatever. If it's not, and it's simply from food, this makes sense too. Loki used to get sick from ONE piece of a new kind of treat. We fed him nothing but dog food for 2 weeks and he got sick. Cake would definately cause it - with all the sugar and stuff in it. I'm serious, one LICK of something and Loki would be sick. All I can say is THANK YOU CANIDAE. Loki can now try a new treat or get a taste of something without getting sick! When he got sick and we knew it was food related - chicken and rice worked (mostly rice, Loki's favorite food now is plain white rice - is that like doggy comfort food??) When it wasn't - we had to get some Metrozsomething drug from the vet.

I took her to the vet with a fecal sample and they said it was not Giardia. I actually wash her feet with water after EVERY walk or whenever she is outside. I'm obsessed about that because I don't want outside germs all over my house. But it turns out it was probably the piece of pound cake her daddy dropped. She is all better. Hasn't had diarrhea since wednesday
