| My yorkie fell down the stairs! My yorkie fell down a flight of wooden stairs...I took him to the vet because he was throwing up and the vet said he'd be ok. After a few hours he stopped throwing but now he's not as active as he was and he shakes occasionly. The vet can't find anything wrong with him. Has anyone else had a similar situation? He was neutered a week prior to his fall. Could his new behavior be from the neutering? Im worried about him |

| no.... I think he is shaking cause he is tramatised. If he is not in pain, I would hold him and cuddle him and speak softly to him. poor baby...... he will be OK.... he just needs some babying..... |

| I think if you are worried about it, you should call another vet and get their advice. sounds scary to me. I hope everything is ok.

| If he continues to vomit I would get a second opinion. He might have brain swelling. As long as he is eating and drinking okay I would think the shaking was just because of being scared, but could also be a neurological problem. Keep a close eye on him. |

Luvs Lulu Donating Member | Fall I think you should watch him. If the throwing up has stopped just keep an eye on him..he is scared. Same thing happened to my Shih when he was learning to go up and down stairs. He didnt' want to climb stairs after that for quite a while. But he was ok after a bit.

| Hopefully he'll soon be better. I'm thinking that if you or I fell down a flight of wooden stairs (that were as large for us as yours were for your little pup) -- even if we didn't break any bones, we'd be feeling pretty rugged and bad for a while. But one good thing about little dogs and little children --they are closer to the ground and don't have as far to fall as we do.... I remember taking my 5-year-old nephew ice skating. He fell down all day long. I would have been dead!!!! NOne of these falls never fazed him a bit... Good luck! Carol Jean |
