| Yorkie Constipation! I just bought my new little girl. She is about 12 weeks old. Her name is Snickers. Snickers started with the constipation about two days ago. I found this site by accident and joined. Thank you so much for the information about giving Snickers spiceless pumpkin. I will try it. I had no idea that pumpkin was fiber. Thanks! |

| Regarding not feeding a chicken based food, I have fed primarily chicken based foods to my dogs (2 of which are Yorkies) for most of their lives with no problems. I know that some dogs have allergies or intollerance to chicken but mine have been fine. If you change food, just transition slowly so that you don't upset the tummy. |

Donating YT 4000 Club Member | I found it at the grocery store (Ingles and Kroger -not Wal Mart or Target) by the pie fillings. They usually sell 2 types, the ready made pumpkin pie filling (avoid- lots of junk in there you don't need) and the plain pumpkin. Rice is often added to the diet when a dog has diarrhea- it's starchy and binding, so I wouldn't add it to the food of a pup who already has that problem.
