| Sleepy This may seem like a silly question but Bella is my first yorkie and I get so worried about everything. Bella and I went to my parents for the weekend, we had a great time, but her schedule was totally thrown off, she stayed up until 3 am playing with my mom and dad for 2 nights...but she woke up at normal time for potty, and went back to sleep for awhile. Ever since then it seems like she's been sleeping ALOT! Usually in the evenings from 5 on, she is very playful, and she'll take a few naps (short), but she wants to play...here lately she has been sleeping like crazy...I'm talking 1-2 hr naps! I wake her up sometimes to see if she's okay!!! When she is up, she is running and playing as normal, it just seems like she's sleeping alot There are no other signs that she is sick (no vomiting or diahrreah) and she's eating normally...I'm just worried about her sleepiness? Maybe it's just a phase. Any thoughts? I know I'm overly paranoid, but I always like to get others opinions. Has this happened to anyone else's pup? Oh, and she is 13 weeks Thanks guys

| I think it's pretty normal, she's just worn out. Ollies sleeps a lot for after we have had a lot of people around and she gets off schedule. I think it just takes a few days for them to catch up. They're smarter than people, when they're worn out they sleep, they don't keep pushing. I've even noticed, Ollie is sleeping a lot more now that the weather is nice cause she is outside more. And I suppose, just like baby people, they will sleep more during a growth spurt. |

| Your mom and dad may have just wore her out and now she is catching back up on her sleep. |

| I wouldn't worry. If she's eating okay and her toilet is okay, then she's fine. My Badger goes through phases of being really alert and sleeping for a few hours and then crashing for much longer periods. It doesn't follow any particular pattern. They're growing all the time, so I think their bodies tell them what they need. I make sure he has lots of quiet time during the day so if he needs to sleep then he can and I generally put him down for quiet time after his playing or morning or afternoon exercise |

| Oh my goodness!!!! Little puppies sleep almost all the time. This is so normal. All little babies sleep a lot. Enjoy this time. It won't last! Carol Jean |

| Sleepy puppy I'm so glad for the question and all the helpful answers. Freyja seems to sleep the entire morning and doze off and on in the p.m. Then about 4:00 she is full of energy, running and playing. Then after dinner she has another playful spurt till about 9. She is a very picky eater but she is eliminating well. When she goes to visit her yorkie poo cousin Maggie they seem to be on a non-stop playing frenzy for most of the day. Her appetite increases dramatically. Then I could understand her sleepiness. I just have to make sure that she gets nap-time when we are over visiting. |

| Oscar is 9mths and he still sleeps quite a bit during the day - just like babies, puppies need their rest too!
