Now my baby has a lump on his neck Dylan is 11 weeks old now and I have had him for 3 weeks. He is being treated for coccidia for the second time and now I found a lump on his little neck. I found it Saturday night but thought that it might just be a bug bite of some kind. It went down a little bit by Sunday morning so I waited until this morning to take him to the vet. I had to leave him at my vets so they could run some tests. What could it be? It's about the size of a dime and doesn't seem to be sore or bother him in any way. I can't wait until my vet calls to tell me what he found out. Poor baby.

Maybe I thought of that too but he got a shot back on Wednesday and the lump did not show up until Saturday. Maybe it caused bleeding under the skin or something. I still haven't heard from the vet.

Was it a Rabies shot he had on Wed? I ask because Mayzie had a reaction to her rabies shot. Her lump didn't show up for a couple of days--at least I didn't notice it until then. She got her rabies shot on the 20th and still has a lump. It is going down now. The vet checked it again today. I wasn't suppose to touch it or bath her until recently. Hope it gets better soon!

I hope that's it I hope that's all it is. He didn't get a rabies shot though, it was a DLHP-P booster. Did the vet say why they got a lump?

| My vet just said it was normal to happen. My daughter sometimes gets a lump when she gets her vaccinations too and they say that can happen.

Mayzie's lump was a definite reaction to the Rabies. The vet explained it all to me but I am not even going to try to here. He noted it in her records. He said it may or may not happen again. If the lump is where he got an injection, I doubt it is anything to worry about. I would just try not to mess with it because that might aggravate it.

Leo developed a lump when he got his first rabies shot- it has been about 9 months and he still has the lump. It doesn't bother him at all, it's not sensitive or anything. The vet told me that sometimes a lump will develop and not to be concerned. I would have thought it would have gone away by now, but it's still there... and it is a little bigger than a dime. I hope that is all it is, if so it will bother you more than it will bother him!

Yeah!!! I just talked to the vet Oh, thank goodness. The lump is just from his booster shot. I get to go pick him up now. I'm so relieved.
