| Mellie scared me to death Mellie has been limping on her left front leg and being really protectiive of her paw. I took her to the vet on Friday. The two that I normally see weren't in so I had to see the one I don't like. Anyhow, after saying alot of nothing she gave her a shot and a prescription for Metacam (which is an anti inflamatory for osteoarthritis). This morning almost immeadiately after I gave it to her she started wheezing, and shaking almost like she couldn't breath. I started to run out of the house to the nearest vet and it stopped as quickly as it ended. She went and ate some more food and water and was like nothing happened. She is doing fine now but I am taking her back to the regular vet today. She is still limping they said I should have seen an almost immediate improvement with the Meds.
