Gosh, I just got on here and saw this thread. Has anyone heard from Marie yet? Is Gucci okay? I can't believe a poison control place charges anything at all!! That is ludicris!! They just want the poor animal to die!! If you can't afford it?? What jerks!! Please Marie let us know what is happening. We are praying for you guys!!

My prayers and thoughts are with you and Gucci! I'm sorry they turned you away, i know how it feels!

I had my maltese turned away today because she was vomitting and having diarrhea, but i didn't have any money and told them if i could do payments, but they wanted the money up front as well..

cant we do anything about them asking for money up front? its ridiculous!i would pay every dime but i just don't have a job right now and Cloey is really sick! I hate these ERvets sometimes..

please let us know how Gucci and you are doing!

Poor Cloey! I will keep her in my prayers as well! If I was a vet I would allow some sort of payement. Or hold a check or something.

Marie....I hardly slept thinking about Gucci.....We're ALL here for you and please let us know if you get her in today....I'm REALLY hoping she didn't eat any and this will just be a huge scare for you.

I am so po'd too about them turning her away....I can understand if it was an expensive procedure...but this is a REAL treatable emergency and what a shame that money rules

.....This country needs to re-evaluate our pet care...

It SHOULD BE....TREAT the animal first on a case by case basis ...THEN work out a payment plan.

MARIE...I just found out The ASPCA has a poisen control center you may want to call....They should be open on the weekend too

Poor Girl...I just called - she's taking Gucci into the ASPCA this morning and will post when she gets back....She said so far Gucci seems fine.....and thinks it was the Bait that can be treated if ingested....and yes...if anyone wants to help....I know she can sure use it.

UPDATE...The Humane Society couldn't help....

ANYONE have any ideas ?

Also...if anyone wants to help Marie please pm me ! She is having a very tough time right now and Gucci really REALLY needs to see a vet.

I was wondering that too! I just read this thread and please tell her that we are praying for them both!!! I hate that the puppy has been turned down by so many ppl. Why couldn't the humane society help?

When a Mouse takes poisonous bait...it doesn't kill them for 24 hours. A yorkie is bigger so she may not show symptoms till longer than that...

which is why it's very important to get her to the vet...They can administer Vitamin K and treat her before it gets into her system and causes internal bleeding.....
