| Dry Nose My baby girl (2 1/2 months) has a dry nose sometimes. I've had her for almost a week and I've noticed this maybe 3 times. She saw the vet 2 days after I bought her (from a pet store ) and got her 2nd shots. The vet said she was healthy. Is this normal? What does it mean? Also at other times I notice her nose is very runny, much more often than it is dry. She also scratches at her ears quite a bit. I'll call the vet tomorrow, I've never owned a doggie before so I worry a lot about her, Thanks for the help. |

Donating YT 30K Club Member | She may have ear mites or an ear infection. There noses are dry sometimes but shouldn't be running. I would take to the vet to be sure. Good luck and keep us posted,

| A dry nose doesn't necessarily mean a problem. If it is cracking, I would put some bag balm on it and consider adding Vitamin A and zinc to the diet. I would be more concerned with the runny nose and ears (probably mites or infection). I think I would take the dogs temperature. Normal (anal)temperature for a dog is 101.5. |
