| me sick= my yorkie sick? Hey, can anyone tell me if you have a cold/flu, can your dog catch it too? I have heard people say "no", but why is it that whenever I get really sick, my yorkie suddenly acts very lethargic and sleepier than before? I have been giving her just as much attention, but she doesn't seem like she wants to play when I am sick... Does anyone know? |

| Ive asked my doctor this question before and the answer is no, your dog wont get cold/flu from you. And I am speaking from experience too. I was sick the entire month of december and my dogs spent every minute of the day with me, and they were fine.

| No - your dogs can't catch the flu or a cold from you. Your dogs probably act lethargic and just lie around when you're sick because you're not doing much either. And - given that you're not feeling well, you probably interact with them less - and they're bored. Also because you don't feel well - you may just be reading more into their being quiet than is actually there. **** I will tell you though - anytime I want to lie around or take a nap or go to bed -- my dogs are all for that. I swear - sleeping with me is their favorite place to be. Carol Jean |
