| Help - my puppy issick again! Hi - I am new to this site so this is my first posting. I recieved my new puppy, Murphy 3 weeks ago and I feel like i am the worlds worst mother already. He was sick last week on Friday and started throwing up and had diarrhea so i took him to the Vet. The Vet gave me some liquid vitamins for his tummy and took a stool sample with the conclussion that it was a hard stool so the diarrhea was stopping. Than over the weekend he was great. I even started feeding him hamburger and rice since he is such a picky eatter and he was loving it! Well than yesterday I took him back to the Vet for his booster shots and when we took him home he got sick and threw up again and now has diarrhea AGAIN. Am i doing something terribly wrong or what? I am so worried that I am making my poor baby sick. He is just 13 weeks old and I want to make sure he is happy and healthy. I called the Vet again and the Doctor is not intoday so the on call Doctor said to just watch him today and if he keeps it up call back tomorrow - great advice - huh? I looked and his gums are still very pink and he still acts fine and wants to play he just gets sick and than carries on. Should i be worried - any advice would be so helpful - thanks! Muprhy's Worried Mom!

| I think you are a great mother for being concerned! Welcome to Yorkie talk by the way! I think that they get upset stomachs sometimes. Just like we do. There is a good food that you could try to give him. Its called (Nutro Natural -Chicken meal, rice, and oatmeal formula) you can get it at petco and petsmart. It helps upset stomachs. I think it may be from the shots too. I think they can make there stomachs upset sometimes, as long as he is still eating and drinking, and stays hydrated he will be fine. Good luck, if there is anything I can do to help just let me know!

It can be so may reasons for this. But let me try and see if I can pin point something for you. Now you might not know this but exactly what puppy shots did your vet give him and how many has he had so far? Exactly what have you been feeding him before his bout of diareha the first time? Now if you want I will be home all day tomorrow you can call maybe I can try and get you informed some. I am not sure whom your breeder was but she should be there for you for all theses questions and things going on! When someone gets a puppy from me I keep check on them for the first month ( then I leave them alone for about 3 months before I check in again) and have a 4 page contract and a 2 page care sheet they get and must follow. If the breeder of your pup is no help call and I will try. Good luck 816-532-3333
