| Izzys current situation Izzy just had her 13th birthday. Her health is now declining. She has a grade 5 heart murmur, an enlarged heart (ultrasound) and that all still triggers her collapsing trachea cough. I am trying to hold it together but I'm coming unraveled. She doesnt want to move. She is on all the correct meds for her enlarged heart and cough, (max doses) as well as some cbd to help with her mood etc. I bring her to the vet constantly, was told best guess is digestive as her heart sound good, (all things considered I guess) lungs clear but short of advanced imaging I feel like I'm out of ideas. She just lays within my sight, but not on her bed. Faces away from me, wont eat ex. scrambled eggs and pill pockets baby carrots and greenies. She just seems so miserable. Thanks everyone. |

| This breaks my heart as it brings back memories of Maggie with her heart condition and cough at age 14. Unfortunately, she went downhill very quickly. I hope you have a better outcome. Love her with all you have!!!

| I am so very sorry. It is so hard to see our babies age. Have they tried an appetite stimulant? There are two that are commonly used: mitrazapine (a small pill) and Entyce (a liquid). Might help.
