| Help! Have you seen this? My 4 mos old yorkie (who is in the middle of a coat change) has this odd, brown furry spot near her front right shoulder joint. Asking the vet to look @ next appt. has anyone ever seen such a thing? She is healthy and happy otherwise. 3 lbs. |

| Did she have a rabies vaccine in that area?

| Interesting, she hasn’t yet had her rabies vaccine, but the spot (which is dark and thinning!) is exactly where she got one of her rounds that she had a lot of pain and limping with. But it was DHPP, not rabies. |

| It could be a reaction to the shot.

| The vaccine probably caused this. My lttle one cannot take the lepto. It causes huge swelling for several weeks. Now my vet gives benadryl before her vaccines. |

| Probably the vaccine. Rabies can leave a round bald spot...usually right hip.
