| Liver shunt My yorkie pup, 8 months old, started to act very strange this mornning - seems drunk, drinking a lot of water and walk with head next to wall. I’ve noticed similar behaviour in the past but not as bad and usually in the morning. This morning it was bad. I did a bit of research and the symptoms are seems to be that of liver shunt. She is very small, does not have a nice coat, but she is my baby and adorable. I gave her charcaol this morning and will take her to vet, but would appreciate other advice from owners with similar problems? Thanks in advance |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | So sorry your baby might be sick. I'm glad you're taking her to the vet asap. See this thread about liver shunt, with Dr. Karen Tobias: https://www.yorkietalk.com/forums/di...obias-dvm.html

| Thank you, she is my little baby, guessing her weight 1.3kg at 8 months says it all. Been to the vet, they are keeping her to do the necessary bloodworks, still praying that it might only be a bug😥 |
