Senior Yorkie Talker | Luxating Petalla surgery Morning everyone, Getting some ideas from all of you great people, My Grand dog is having surgery to reconstruct her petalla was wondering about a good orthopedic bed for her so she is comfy when she comes home , also want to get her a way to go on sofa also talking to vet as well. I know she may not be able to jump up . If you could direct me in a direction to research I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks very much. Wet kisses. |

| She will need to be in a crate or pen and not on any furniture unless being held by a human for 8 weeks at least sometimes 12 depending on the surgeon and healing.

| How old is she? Was she having problems with it? Is it luxating patella surgery or did she tear her cruciate ligament?

Bella was in a pen at floor level with blankets for several weeks during the day and sleeping in a crate at night. Being on a sofa is a very bad idea--the dog could fall off or try to jump down and cause horrible injury.
