| Jennifer, I am so very sorry for poor little Buddybear and for you!.. I haven't had any experience with skunk spray so I won't be able to help. |

| Oh dear! I can’t help you much either. I would use generic sterile saline drops/flush on the eyes and then check with the vet in the morning.

He had a ball chasing my friends chickens today, mother nature scolding him. We stopped him as fast as we could, but it was hilarious.

I would have to agree with Jay - Saline eye drops and at the very least, a call to the vet in the morning.

| I had this happen once to one of my girls, she was sprayed directly in her face. I was told to buy tomato juice and pour it all over her and leave it on, she had clumps of tomatoes pieces hanging off her but it neutralized the smell, she was going to the groomer the next day, I don't recall what the groomer used but the smell was gone, just a trace still lingered around the eyes and nose until the hair grew and was cut off. The tomato juice worked for me.

| I also have heard tomato juice takes care of it. Of course, it won't work with eyes...I would just use something like Genteel eye drops. Sorry I didn't see this last night...I imagine you could have called an emergency clinic for advice. Good to find one now so you will have their number on hand. I assume you are at the vet this morning. Hope all is well.

I'm so sorry this happened! Poor Buddy! My neighborhood skunk likes to come out around my house at about 11pm and 5am lol like clockwork, so I have to be really careful when I let Princeton out, it's one of my biggest fears!! haha.

| Just as a heads up, if you have a yard and bird feeders skunks are attracted to bird seed, I say this from experience lol and have eliminated the feeders.

| Buy AYR (pronounced AIR)$5 at any drugstore. It is PURE saline. I use it. Squirt it into the eyes and wipe clean, repeat. They also suffer the smell in their noses so use the saline in the nose too, just as we use a nettie pot to clean our sinuses, use the AYR to clear your pup's nose. The nose will run freely and that's a good thing! AYR should be in all our first aid kits. |
