| Gas-X Anybody ever give their yorkie Gas-x? If so how much? Any other suggestions for a bloated belly? Winston is finally feeling better but had an episode where his tummy suddenly was so tight and hard...he had eaten dinner, had been outside where he peed and pooped came in and we gave him a small potty treat like we always do. I could tell something was wrong...his back was arched and he could not sit down, barely able to walk...so uncomfortable. Panting heavily and I thought his tongue and gums were bluish. Scared I called the er vet for advise, while on the phone with them he let out a gigantic belch and now feels better, he's resting peacefully. He'll be seeing his vet tomorrow...but wondered if Gas-X might have helped. He had me so scared for him. What would you have done? We were getting ready to make the hour drive to the er vet...but then he burped and started acting normal. Just concerned as he was recently diagnosed with Congestive Heart Failure and Kidney Failure, being treated for both.

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | Yes, I've heard of people giving it but whatever was going on with your kiddo doesn't sound just GI to me...? I'm not exactly sure what was happening. If it happens again though, I'd def grab your phone if you can and get some of it on video. He wasn't acting like anything was stuck in his throat or anything?

| He had an uneventful night, slept like a baby and went out this morning and made a normal poop (yes, I looked) he's acting pretty much his normal self, although he hasn't eaten anything yet today (maybe he's afraid to). He goes to the vet this afternoon, so will keep you updated. Thank you all so much for your thoughts, prayers and caring. I know he's 13 years old, but he'll always be my baby...

| We're home from the vet and she really has no idea what brought his sudden bloat attack on. She did an abdominal xray and said there was nothing new to be concerned about...stomach and bowels appeared normal. He did eat today and has pooped twice. It is/was not fluid, most likely air from possibly eating or drinking to fast. She did suggest pediatric gas-x...His medicine cabinet is starting to look like a pharmacy. Never the less, he continues to act his normal self, for which I am thankful. Seriously, I feared the worst last night, imagine me in my pj's standing in the back yard with tears rolling down my face thinking this was it and then he belched and deflated just as fast as he inflated. The vet does not feel like this had anything to do with his current medications or medical condition (CHF & CKD). So goes another day in the life of Winston. Thanks again all, I really appreciate you!!
