Possible heart problem in my 1 1/2 year old yorkie girl

So I went to get my baby girl's teeth cleaned, and they said they needed to put her under anesthesia to do it. I was a little apprehensive about going under anesthesia but was assured that it's perfectly safe. They told me that they needed to do test to make sure she was healthy enough to do so. When they checked her heart, they found an abnormal heart rhythm. She is now referred to a cardiologist to do a echocardiogram. I've just had her for four months and had her checked out then. The doctor said that she very well could have had this problem when I adopted her, but it may not have come up because the heart check was so fast and also the timing not right. I'm a little nervous about the results. Has anyone else had this happen to you?

Try not to worry to terribly at this point. There are so many kiddos who live just great with some rhythm abnormalities. What, exactly, did they tell you about what they saw...bc they should've easily been able to ID the rhythm.
