| I am so happy to hear he is doing well. It is so stressful when they have a problem that is hard to diagnose, and wonderful that there are treatments that are helping. Hope he keeps improving. Thanks for the update.

| I’m glad to hear he has improved a lot. Have you heard of degenerative myelopathy? Here is some info about it https://www.pawprintgenetics.com/pro...ts/details/87/ Paw print genetics offers DNA testing for many genetic diseases and the degenerative myelopathy test is one they recommend for yorkies prior to breeding. Many of us that show are testing our dogs for this and some other issues and many yorkies are being found to be carriers of the degerative myelopathy gene. Marcel’s symptoms made me think of degenerative myelopathy...a DNA swab would tell you if he has two copies of the gene that can cause the disease.
