Thank you!!! I hope this is my last update! I have a stomach bug, and wasn't able to go to the vet appointment for liquid therapy. My husband did, though. The doctor refused to give her an enema, and kept insisting her pacing, whining, screaming, and refusal to sleep was "normal" Since my husband was there, and isn't the people please I am, he insisted that it was done. He flat out wore the doctor down. These are good doctors, don't get me wrong, and I love the care they give my little gal, but he was wrong in this case. having 2 little BMS in a 3 day period when backed up that long isn't a good thing. She was also shivering from lack of food, and we got that addressed, too. I can tell you that the enema worked and had a very large BM that wasn't a bit runny. The doctor didn't come back in to tell us, he sent the tech in. Again, I get why. Doctors can be very arrogant about their opinions. He came in soon after, apparently the tech said he was a bit busy- no, he was wrong in this case. Chewie stopped crying afterwards, came home, and went to sleep. She has slept maybe- MAYBE- 12 hours since Friday. That's being generous. We know that Chewie whines for attention, but this whining was MUCH different. She isn't pacing any more, either. I can't wait for her poor little voice to heal and not be so hoarse. Right now when attempting to get me to play she sounds like a little ewok, with her fake growling/talking/whining combo. She's being treated for the pancreatitis and we'll continue with the bland and now fat free diet for the next week. She's on the mend. she's been worried about me all day and will frequently come to check, and has patted my tummy a few times. Going back to lay down. | |

| YT 2000 Club Member | Good thing your husband took charge. Be very strict with her diet. My Yorkie with that pancreatitis ate nothing but chicken and rice until we got it under control. Then hills zd. Also he got the biscuit zd treats made by hills. I will pray for chewie to get better. Prayer is very powerful. My Yorkie with kidney problems has totally gotten better because of prayer. Do not hesitate to pray over your precious dog and get the healing power of the Lord.: |
