| No pain med after spaying? Hi, My daughter just got spayed and her baby teeth pulled (in France) the vet gave me Kesium which I assumed was pain medicine until I googled it and found out it is just a antibiotic. She is doing surprisingly well just sleeps a lot it andit has been 2 days since the surgery. But I do not understand why she is not on pain medicine. Is this normal? |

Furbutts = LOVE Donating Member Moderator | For me, no this is not normal. I *strongly* believe in pain meds following major abdominal surgery like this. I think it's terrible they didn't provide them to you. Did you ask for them...?

| Here at our clinic it is normal to send home pain meds. But sometimes they give a shot for pain before they wake up for sugery that lasts a little while. Maybe thats what your girl got? |
