Yorkie Yakker | I noticed this morning that he's been trying to scratch his eye. Luckily he's been wearing a cone to keep him from scratching. So I believe his eye could possibly be healing. |

| Glad you have the cone on him. Give him lots of loving to try to soothe the itchies and pain.

YT 2000 Club Donating Member | Because I rinse my dogs eyes frequently as we love to swim and I am a partial nut about eye care. Here is how I do it for my Yorkie. I cradle on my lap with one side of his head/face nestled into my elbow crook and they use that hand to reach over and open the eye - then the quick two or three drops - I use the outer corner of the eye so hopefully the medicine washes across the eyes. I always give a special yummy treat afterwards. That is after I do both eyes. With my big dogs I use the side of my hip and nestle them into the front of my body when we are standing - They love that close in position to Moms. I already have the lid of the eye drops and when they lift their head to mine - a kiss and then two fingers open eye and the other hand quickly presses the meds from the bottle in.

| Kewy, didn't you mention you had a re-check with the vet today? Ask them to clean the area thoroughly and show you how to do it. Diana |

I understand being scared and sad. You and Danny are in my thoughts and prayers. Did the vet indicate when he can open the eye again?

| That is great! Not a very long wait compared to other cases I have read about. Please keep us updated on Danny.
